At this time of year we undertake the tedious task of updating the entire database for the release of the next series - SaaP 2010. This is done
with two releases, the first including the change of makeup of the various leagues as a result of the promotion and relegation of the previous
season. Because the club squads are still in flux until the end of the transfer window this release includes the playing squads of the previous
season with appropriate skill level changes to bring the skills in line with the leagues. This year the game is designated SaaP 2009/10.
This year, however, it's a little more complex than that becauase both the Americn MLS and the Ausrtalian A-League have expansion teams that have
to be included along with changes to the schedules, playoffs, drafts etc. Because we know that in another year both Portland and Vancouver will be
added to the MLS we've included them in this expansion and produced an 18 club league (in two conferences) and a 34 match home and away season. The
squads for these leagues are completely up to date.
Also, because of the success of the LISA-like real conversation pep-talk, the idea has been expanded to include the post-match press conference where your
comments to the press not only influence the attitude of the players to some degree but also creates a public reputation for yourself based on the tone of
your comments.
